If the brain is swollen for any reason, the emerging picture is not the same as that of our arm or leg since it is contained in a closed bone box. The swollen brain starts to compress itself, even closing the arteries that bring oxygen necessary for life. Of course, this will cause the brain to become anoxic, resulting in brain edema; that is, the brain will swell and worsen the picture.
This is one of the most important problems that modern medicine is still searching for answers in. In the case of brain swelling, many therapies applied in intensive care units with modern equipment have not yet achieved effective results. Sometimes we even try to take out the bones of the skull in order to make room for the swollen brain. But the point that I want to emphasize here is that the application of these modern methods should not be delayed even for a moment; that is, try to reach the best intensive care unit right away.
